Symple AI Reports — Connected Accounting Data

Symple AI Reports is our reporting application. When a business connects its QuickBooks Online company to it, this section governs that data. It applies in addition to everything above.

What we access

With authorization granted through Intuit's own consent screen, we read the following from the connected QuickBooks Online company:

• Financial reports — profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance, accounts receivable and payable aging
• Transactions — invoices, payments, bills, credit memos, journal entries and their line items
• Reference records — chart of accounts, customers, vendors, items, classes and locations
• Company profile — company name, address, fiscal year start, currency and time zone
• The authorizing user's Intuit identity — name and email, so we know who to contact if the connection breaks

Access is read-only. Symple AI Reports does not create, edit or delete records in your books. Customer and vendor records may contain names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of individuals; we treat those as personal information under this policy.

Why we access it

Only to operate the service you asked for: to build and refresh your dashboards, to investigate a problem you report, and to keep the connection healthy. We do not use your accounting data for any other purpose.

Where it goes

• Our server. Automated workflows run on infrastructure we operate in the United States, accessible only to Symple Ai personnel who need it to run the service.
• Your Google Workspace. Dashboards are typically delivered into Google Sheets that you own. Once data is in your spreadsheet, who can see it is governed by your Google sharing settings, not ours.
• Nowhere else. We do not transfer your accounting data to any other third party except where the law requires it, or where you ask us to.

How it is protected

• All traffic to Intuit and to Google runs over TLS.
• OAuth tokens are held in a restricted credential store — never in source code, documents or shared files.
• Access tokens expire hourly. Refresh tokens rotate on every use, so an old token is already dead.
• Production access is limited to named individuals and reviewed when someone leaves.

What we never do

• Sell or rent your accounting data, or share it for anyone else's advertising.
• Use it to train machine-learning or AI models.
• Combine one customer's data with another's.
• Access your books for any reason other than delivering the service to you.

Retention and deletion

Dashboard data is retained while the connection is active so reports can show trends over time. You may disconnect at any time from the QuickBooks apps page or by emailing us; we stop accessing your company immediately and delete the stored authorization. On written request we delete data already retrieved within 30 days, except anything a legal or accounting obligation requires us to keep. Data already written into spreadsheets you own remains under your control.

Artificial intelligence

Symple AI Reports uses a large language model to write plain-English commentary alongside the figures. Every number displayed is computed directly from the QuickBooks API response, never generated by the model, and the model receives aggregate figures rather than underlying customer records. Your QuickBooks data is never used to train any model.
